Jayanthi Viharaya

Jayanthi Vihara remains as a temple which was built more recently in Anuradhapura ancient city. The temple functions as a Buddhist temple and a school. It is a desire of many Buddhist male to be monks. The little monks dedicated to the religion are liable for having free education and  food and shelter for 18 years.  Jayanthi Viharaya provides   an educational program in collaboration with NGOs to teach English and other general things. The daily life of a monk and values of Buddhist teaching can be observed by a visitor in this place called Jayanthi Viharaya.
